Kellogg’s Introduces Soda Flavored Pop-Tarts
Soda, for breakfast?!?

I’m all for innovation when it comes to food but these newest pop-tarts from Kellogg’s has me scratching my head. Just in time for the Summer, Kellogg’s has teamed up with Dr. Pepper Snapple to introduce two new pastries that feature soda flavors inspired by A&W Root Beer and Crush Orange soda. Hungry yet? The cereal maker has described the A&W Root Beer flavor as “bubbling with root-beer flavored filling,” and the Crush Orange flavor as having a “citrus-flavored filling” that will “tingle your taste buds.”

“Tingle your taste buds”? Maybe I’m old fashioned and set in my ways but when it comes to pop-tarts I think it’s better to incorporate flavors that have some sort of connection to breakfast. What exactly was Kellogg’s thinking with this co-branding? Either way I haven’t decide yet whether I’m going to take one for the team and do a review yet. When and if I do, I’ll be sure to post my thoughts about them.

What do you guys think of the newest pop-tarts flavors? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
