Netflix is officially rebooting the 60’s sci-fi classic Lost in Space. The streaming media company recently announced that it has picked up the show for a 10-episode first season, which is expected to stream worldwide starting in 2018. The series will be reimagined by writers Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, whose credits include Dracula Untold and Last Witch Hunter. Zack Estrin of Prison Break will serve as the series showrunner.

A very industrious YouTuber by the name of GamestersStuff created Ghostbusters 3 using cut scenes and game footage from the 2009 video game. In his own words:
“What I have done here for your viewing pleasure is put together a compilation of cut scenes and gameplay from the game to collaborate the story line into a feature length movie that I simply call “Ghostbusters III” and I think it turned out pretty darn well. All video was recorded on a high end PC at max settings and enhanced with video editing at full blu-ray quality. As it was recently reported in Variety, The CW and Netflix are close to finalizing a new deal covering scripted series that significantly speeds up the availability of the shows to less than two weeks after each season ends on the network. This new deal comes as The CW and Hulu are soon to be parting ways on the deal that made selected current episodes of CW series available for streaming on a rolling-five basis. The proposed deal with Netflix would have the most recent season premiering on the service two weeks following the conclusion of said season.

River City: Tokyo Rumble is coming stateside! River City Ransom is without a doubt my favorite beat ’em up on the NES! The game itself is part of a larger series, known as the “Kunio-Kun” series in Japan, which spawned a multitude of sequels. However only a small handful of titles were ever released in North America. Some of these titles included: Renegade, Super Dodge Ball and Crash ‘n the Boys: Street Challenge.
